SVOD stands for subscription video on demand. Commonly known SVODs are Netflix's Amazon Instant Video and Now TV. A positive of using a SVOD is that if you are unknown film producer a SVOD is more likely for people to see you film and allow you to produce it also big company tend to micro manage where SVODs just allow you to put the film out in your view. There is a lot of places you can sell your film to so there is plenty of options.A few disadvantages of SVODs is that they only give you a one time payment and this could be good but this means you lose the rights to your film straight away and if it is a you could lose millions. SVODs have started to produce there own shows rather than they use others although they still do use other shows they now have there own. A good example of this is Netflixs they have started doing "Netflixs Orginal" shows, a good example of this is the new lemony snicket's a series of unfortunate events this is a Netflixs exclusive which attracts them over to there SVOD rather than overs.
