Diegetic and non-diegetic sounds

Diegetic and Non-Diegtic sounds in opening scenes Diegetic and Non-Diegetic are both used often in film often as they are both effective way of intriguing viewers in. Diegetic sound is the sound that can be heard by the cast as well as the audience. While Non-Diegetic sound can only be heard by the audience. Diegetic sound makes the viewer feel more intense. Diegetic sounds are often thought to be realistic, such as fight scenes in a movie when the character as well as the viewers can interpret the different sounds. The sound of the busy high street for example when a character walks down it you hear the cars driving by the business of the street it makes you feel like you are in the street with the character to make you feel closer to the character even if you have only just met them. Non-Diegetic sound can be just as effective to bring in the audience in one of the best examples of this is the music in jaw the tense music before jaws strikes makes the film

Stereotypes and conventions in Action genre

The action genre has a spine of a story a damsel in distress needs rescuing by the superhero and his sidekick who is being stopped by some sort of villain. A big stereotype is the superhero this is usually a man strong with some sort of powers or extreme strength. Examples of this could be the Avengers such as Captain America with his extreme strength and Thor with his God like powers. The hero or heroes will have to go through multiple hard task and challenges until they find the method to reach there goal. For example in Avengers they have a group of superheroes who have to find the villain and stop him from destroying the world which is there goal. The female of the group Black widow becomes prisoner and becomes the damnsel in distress. The next stereotype of every action film is the villain. Action films need a villain or there is no plot as the hero has no objective to fight towards. An example of thus is the joker from the batman Dark Knight. For most films the villain wil

Practice filming of the interview scene

We where unsure on how long the interview scene would take due to our worries that we were going over the time allocated for the start of the film, We decided to give ourselves a practice run to get an idea on how long it would take so we would know if we needed to adapt the script or just shorten the pauses and say lines quicker. For this draft film we didn't have many of the props just the coat the criminal will wear because i had that on me at the time. We had to record it on a phone due to the fact this was not planned until the day due to our sudden time fear. So the audio camera and the props were all lacking but the most important part of the draft we got was the timing that was key and we learnt that it was possible to do in the time we are allocated. Unfortunately the video for this was lost but this trial helped us a lot figuring out what we need to do.
