Comedy Stereotypes
Similar to most genres in films comedy has its stereotypes. Looking into these are the two main stereotypes in the comedy genera.
Setting
One of the main stereotypes in a comedy film is the scene/setting. It is normally a bright place in comedy nothing is hidden as to hide nasty surprises the scene is open and clear. However the scenes are different per film for example if it is teenagers it will normally be in a high school. In contrast to if it was a busy city like London or New York with adults it would most likely be in a bar a lot as most adults in comedy ether drink a lot or don't drink at all.
Character Types
Another stereotype is the certain kind of characters in the main group in the comedy. A good example of this is Misfits a British show about 5 people under community service who have powers but the show brings people in based on the comedy. One of them is called Nathan he is constantly sarcastic and insults just bounce off him. In most peoples opinions he is the funniest character in the show. Another character is called Kelly she is a typical chav and the comedy in there is the fact how "chavy" she acts.
